LANSING, Mich. — Today, as the House reconvened to address to a number of agenda items, a ceremony was held to swear in Cynthia J. Neeley as Representative of Michigan’s 34th House District, which is made up of most of the city of Flint.

“It is important that even during an emergency situation, our State Legislators while taking every precaution necessary, continue to work for our constituents. Now more than ever, our state needs strong leaders that have a clear passion for their communities and have their best interests at heart,” said House Democratic Leader Christine Greig (D-Farmington Hills). “Rep. Neeley is the right person for the job of leading her district during this difficult time. I look forward to working with her and getting to know her in the months ahead.”

“I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work for the people who put their faith in me by casting a ballot for me,” said Rep. Cynthia R. Neeley (D-Flint). “I know I am up to the task. I will work diligently and enthusiastically to represent the people of Flint.”
